Ipswich forced their visitors to a share of the spoils after a 1-1 draw at Portman Road on Saturday evening.
Both goals were scored in the first half with Liam Delap breaking the deadlock with a stunning strike in the opening hour before Adama Traore equalised just after the half hour mark.
For Super Eagles duo of Iwobi and Bassey, it was a quiet outing. After leading Fulham to a win the last time, the playmaker completed 97% of his passes in 87 minutes, the most of any player in the game. He also created two chances and made two key passes while completing two dribbles.
Bassey, 24, completed the most passes but there will be no clean sheet for the former Rangers star and his fellow Cottagers to celebrate. He won one tackle, made three clearances, and three recoveries.
Fulham’s fans are not happy with the result, with some of them expressing their thoughts and feelings on the club’s official X account.
“Can’t even beat Ipswich,” one of the supporters said. “Need to be doing better fellas,” another stated while an optimistic fan added; “Good to get a point, played far below our level. Need to be much better next week.”
Despite the dropped points, Fulham are now unbeaten in three matches this season across competitions, with two wins and a draw.
The Cottagers will look to bounce back when they welcome West Ham after the international break, with Ipswich, still waiting for a first win since their promotion, taking on Brighton at the Amex.
