Rodrigo Bentancur began a seven-game suspension during Spurs' trip to Manchester City in Matchweek 12 for an aggravated breach of FA Rule E3. If a player receives 10 yellow cards in their first 32 Premier League matches, they will be suspended for two games.

Yellow cards do not carry over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup.
