Dele-Bashiru unhurt in Lamborghini crash
The 23-year-old midfielder reportedly crashed his Lamborghini in the Italian capital on Saturday evening.
Lazio teammate Tijjani Noslin witnessed the incident and rushed to assist him at the scene.
According to Italian outlet, Il Messaggero, Dele-Bashiru sustained no injuries and was deemed fit enough to make Lazio’s squad for their Week 16 clash against Inter.
Despite the ordeal, the midfielder continues to impress this season with three goals and two assists in 12 games.
Dele Bashiru becoming a Super Eagles’ hero
On loan from Hatayspor, Dele-Bashiru has established himself as a key player for Nigeria and Lazio in the 2024/25 season.
He scored in Lazio’s 3-1 Europa League victory over Ajax last Thursday and is fast becoming a key player for I Bianchocelesti, especially in European competition.
Dele-Bashiru also scored a brilliant equaliser in a 1-1 draw against South Africa and a decisive winner in a 1-0 triumph over Libya during AFCON 2025 qualifiers for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
His performances have cemented his place in the Super Eagles lineup, with fans and pundits hailing him as one of the team’s brightest prospects.
