Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses has returned to English football on a free transfer after leaving Russian side Spartak Moscow earlier in the summer.

Victor Moses, 33, has joined English Championship side Luton Town as a free agent, after leaving Russian side Spartak Moscow this summer.

Moses joined the Russian side, initially on loan from Chelsea in 2020 after a successful spell at Stamford Bridge, highlighted by a title-winning season under Antonio Conte.

Luton Town manager Rob Edwards expressed excitement about Moses' arrival, saying,

"We think he's someone who can provide some really good competition for us."

Moses got a taste of his new team during a behind-closed-doors match last week.

The addition of Moses comes at a crucial time for Luton, who have struggled in the Championship with only one point from four games this season.

Moses expressed his excitement after signing the contract

"I had a few offers from Europe, but I said to my agent that I set my mind on staying over here, and here we are. I’m very pleased and honoured to be at this club and I just can’t wait to get going.

“I want to come here and enjoy my football, work hard for the club and for the team, and get back to where we belong in the Premier League.”

Luton's next game is a tricky tie this weekend away to Millwall, and a potential debut for Moses could be on the horizon.
