The youngster expressed gratitude to his family, coaches, and teammates, particularly his ‘father’, Amobi Ezeku, the Rangers CEO, who constantly supported him throughout his journey.

Igboke also promised to give his all and make the nation proud with his performances in the national team.

Igboke's call-up is the second instance of a player from the NPFL receiving his first invitation to the Super Eagles under Finidi George's tenure, following the initial inclusion of Remo Star's right back, Sodiq Ismail in the 23-man squad for the 2026 FIFA WCQ.

This development is a testament to the growing talent within the Nigerian league, and it will be exciting to see how Igboke fares on the international stage as he aims to cement his place in the Super Eagles setup.
