The Super Eagles star responded to Pepe, the former Real Madrid player, who announced his retirement from football on Thursday.

Pepe announced his retirement from football, capping an incredible 23-year career during which he received every major game trophy.

The defender enjoyed a happy career as a great player for Real Madrid, where he won four Primeira Liga titles with Porto in addition to three league and three UEFA Champions League wins.

In addition, he played 878 matches and won 34 trophies during his career, playing a crucial part in Portugal's victory in the 2016 European Championship.

The Super Eagles defender joins Cristiano Ronaldo, who hailed the legendary defender whom he played with at Real Madrid.

Pepe's last appearance for Portugal came during last month's European Championship quarterfinal battle against France.
