Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi has earned a well-deserved place in the Whoscored Premier League Team of the Month for September, edging out big names like Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo.

The Nigerian midfielder’s stellar performances in September were recognised, as he was statistically rated as the best holding midfielder in the Premier League with an impressive overall score of 7.76, earning him a place in the Team of the Month.

Ndidi played a key role in Leicester City’s strong September run, where they lost only one game, against title-hopefuls Arsenal.

The Super Eagles star contributed three assists in three matches, adding a new element to his game by creating chances for his teammates.

With four assists in six Premier League matches this season, Ndidi has emerged as one of the Foxes' most valuable players, proving his importance to the squad.

Ndidi outshines Premier League midfielders

By securing a spot in the Premier League Team of the Month, Ndidi surpassed some of the biggest midfield names in the league, including Rice, Caicedo, Rodri, and Caemiro.
