Super Eagles goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo helped his team Enyimba to finish the NPFL season with his 11th clean sheet and a CAFCC ticket.

Enyimba Football Club and Super Eagles goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo stole the show in Aba as bid farewell to the club at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper, who has been an integral part of the People’s Elephant for the past three years, played his final game for the former Nigerian champions in a 2-0 victory against Plateau United on Sunday.

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, the club confirmed the departure of their skipper and number one goalkeeper, who is set for a stint outside Nigeria.

He helped the People's Elephant secure the crucial three points that guaranteed them a return to the continent via the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC).

However, the victory was a bittersweet one for everyone at the club as they watched their beloved goalkeeper bid them farewell in tears.

Ojo played a pivotal role in helping Enyimba win the prestigious NPFL title last season under Finidi George, the club's record-extending ninth title, the most by any Nigerian club.

His departure is a massive blow to the club, who will now have to find a suitable replacement to fill the void left by the shot-stopper.

In an emotional farewell, Ojo celebrated his final game by giving away customised Enyimba jerseys alongside cash to the fans of the club, who were left in tears as they cheered him on.

The club paid tribute to their departing captain, calling him "an absolute professional" and thanking him for his service.

The news of Ojo's departure came as a shock for the Enyimba faithful, who will undoubtedly miss the iconic goalkeeper.

But as he moves on to a new chapter in his career with a move to Sudan, the fans will forever remember the contributions of Olorunleke Ojo to the success of their beloved club.
