"Your blessing comes with side effects. Expect a case of Jealous, bitter, gossiping people. But keep your joy regardless!"

The Napoli frontman's latest social media activity comes just weeks after a heated altercation with former Super Eagles manager Finidi George on Instagram Live.

Osimhen was forced to defend himself after reports emerged that Finidi said he wouldn't beg the striker to play for Nigeria.

The 10-minute video sparked a firestorm of reactions, with many fans, football admins and former Super Eagles stars weighing in on the war of words between the two Nigerian football icons.

The clash of words followed Nigeria’s poor results in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as Finidi led the Super Eagles to one shock defeat and draw in his only official match as new coach.

Meanwhile, as Osimhen's future in Naples remains uncertain, the in-demand forward has rejoined his club for pre-season ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Despite actively working on an exit, with a £130million release clause standing in his way, Osimhen has returned to Napoli under new manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian giants will be hoping the African Player of the Year can help them bounce back from a disappointing 2023/24 season, having delivered a historic Scudetto title last term.

But with the Premier League rumoured to be his preferred destination, Osimhen's time in Serie A could be running out.
