Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Deputy Senate President and others have rewarded the Flying Eagles for their brilliant outing at the AFCON qualifiers.

Leicester City midfielder and Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi has emerged as the leading donor in a wave of support for Nigeria's U20 team, contributing N5 million to motivate the Flying Eagles ahead of their crucial AFCON 2025 qualifier against Niger Republic.

Ndidi, a Flying Eagles alumnus himself, made the largest individual contribution in a collective effort that has seen well-meaning Nigerians rally behind the seven-time African champions.

The support campaign has attracted contributions from various sectors, with Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, donating N2 million to the cause.

Crystal Sapphire Ltd Chairman Frank Peters has pledged N1.5 million, with a promise of additional support if the team progresses past Niger Republic in Saturday's semi-final clash.

This outpouring of support, led by Ndidi's example, demonstrates the unity within Nigerian football and the importance placed on youth development in the country's football structure. The Flying Eagles will look to repay this faith when they take the field on Saturday.
