Two Super Eagles stars are confident Eric Chelle will qualify Nigeria for the 2026 World Cup.
Super Eagles players Kenneth Omeruo and Wilfred Ndidi have expressed their support for newly appointed head coach Eric Chelle, backing him to successfully guide the team to qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Super Eagles' qualifying campaign has had a difficult start, with the team currently winless and sitting fifth in Group C with just three points from four matches.

Chelle, who was officially unveiled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday has the task of leading the three-time African champions to the football fiesta.
During a live session on his X (formerly Twitter) account, co-hosted with Ndidi, Omeruo voiced his confidence in the new coach.
He said, “The new coach has something to give to the Super Eagles. We saw a very organised Mali during our friendly match last year and at the AFCON. And now with the talent in Nigeria, we expect even more,” the Kasimpasa defender stated.
Ndidi echoed Omeruo's optimism, adding his own belief that the team can turn things around.
“With our quality and the new coach, we will qualify for the 2026 World Cup. It won’t be easy, but we’re all together in the task to qualify for the World Cup,” the Leicester City midfielder declared.
The Super Eagles are set to resume their World Cup qualifying campaign in March with an away fixture against Rwanda, followed by a home game against Zimbabwe.
