The team is set to be without five (5) first-team players for the friendly against Algeria following the latest injury setback.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have suffered another injury setback ahead of the game against Algeria.

Nigeria’s senior national team will take on their Algerian counterparts in an international friendly later this month.

However, the team has suffered multiple blows with several players pulling out due to injuries ahead of the big game.

Nottingham Forest's new boy, Emmanuel Dennis, is the latest player to pull out of what's expected to be a re-match of the 2019 AFCON semi-final match.

Dennis was a late replacement for another injured player, Henry Onyekuru, who had also withdrawn from the friendly.

With the 25-year-old set to miss the game, this takes the number of injured players to five (5) led by captain, Ahmed Musa.

Replacement not named yet

The Super Eagles are yet to name a replacement for the Forest forward as players begin to hit camp in Algeria.

But three (3) players have been confirmed as replacements for Musa, (Samuel) Chukwueze, Leon Balogun, and Onyekuru.

Valentine Ozornwafor, Godwin Saviour, and Ebube Duru are the three players confirmed.
