Nigeria has a challenging history against France, which includes a heavy 8-0 defeat in 2018.
The Super Falcons are set to face a stern test against France in an international friendly on Saturday.
The Nigerian women's national team will be looking to improve on their past performances against the European powerhouse.
Despite a challenging history against France, which includes a heavy 8-0 defeat in 2018, the Super Falcons are optimistic about their chances.
Interim head coach Justin Madugu has called up a squad of 19 players for the match, with a focus on rebuilding the team and giving opportunities to young talent.
While the absence of Oluwatosin Demehin due to injury is a setback, Madugu remains confident in the abilities of the players at his disposal.

Super Falcons forward Oshoala set to make history, battles Arsenal star for new FIFA award
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala is set to become the first person to receive the FIFA new award called the ‘Marta Award’.
"We are excited to be facing France again. It's a great opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. We have a young and talented squad, and we are eager to show what we can do.
“It’s a good one. We really must appreciate the Federation for organizing this kind of grade A international friendly against a top-rated country. It also gives us the opportunity of testing a lot of the younger ones that have not played at that level and have not competed against such top-rated countries.
"From the list of players that will be playing in this game, about 60 to 70% of them have played against top oppositions in the past. It is not anything new to them playing against a top country like France. Some played against them at the World Cup.
"Some have played against the top five countries in the world at the last Olympics. Playing against France should not be an issue for quite a number of our foreign-based players. Some French players are their teammates and play in the same league with them.
"It shouldn’t be anything new. It’s for the home-based players that we are traveling with that we would try and see how we will also give them opportunities in the course of the game for us to also assess and see how they perform against a top-rated country like that," Magudu told Nigerian Football
The match against France will be a crucial test for the Super Falcons as they look to build momentum and prepare for future competitions.
