Nigeria's senior women's national team, the Super Falcons, will know their opponents for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) during the draw ceremony on Friday, November 22nd, in Morocco.
The event will take place at the Mohamed VI Complex, where the 12 qualified teams for the tournament's 13th edition will be grouped into three groups of four teams each.
The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has announced that the 13th edition of the AWCON is scheduled to take place from Saturday, July 5th to Saturday, July 26th, 2025.
A total of 12 teams qualified for the group stages; Algeria, Botswana, Ghana, Mali, Morocco (host), Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa (Reining champions), Tanzania, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia and Zambia.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria are nine-time champions, having won in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018.
Three-time finalists Ghana and one-time bronze medallists DR Congo made a successful return to the competition.
