Chelsea took an early lead through Enzo Fernández after he was set up brilliantly by Pedro Neto but Villa rallied towards the end of the first half and went into the break looking alive.
They started the second half in even more spirited fashion and the introduction of Marcus Rashford really sparked their revival.

The 27-year-old combined with Asensio for the equalizer as the home side took complete control of proceedings.
The winner came in the 89th minute, as Rashford and Asensio combined again. Asensio took a first-time shot to squeeze the ball underneath Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen.
This win snaps Villa's five-match winless streak and moves them within one point of Chelsea in the Premier League table.
