The Premier League side are hoping to make a splash in the Champions League this season with the Nigeria-eligible youngster
Aston Villa are reportedly considering a late move in the summer transfer window for Atletico Madrid striker Samuel Omorodion after being offered the chance to sign the youngster.
Omorodion, who is eligible to play for Nigeria's Super Eagles, has attracted interest from several Premier League giants, with Atletico Madrid reportedly now open to bids for the forward.
Omorodion’s draws Premier League interest
Omorodion spent last season on loan at Deportivo Alaves from Atletico Madrid, where he was the Basque club’s top scorer with eight LaLiga goals.

The 20-year-old’s performances helped Alaves secure a 10th-place finish in La Liga, comfortably avoiding relegation and finishing closer to European qualification than the bottom three.
Despite his success on loan at Alaves, Omorodion’s future at Atletico Madrid appears uncertain, especially following the arrival of Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth at the club.
Omorodion’s possible availability has sparked a flurry of interest from Premier League clubs, with Aston Villa being approached about a potential deal as they look to strengthen their forward line before the transfer window shuts.
Villa weighing up options Omorodion transfer
Aston Villa have made significant additions to their midfield and defence this season with signings like Amadou Onana and Ian Maatsen, but their attacking options still need some strengthening given their participation in European football this season.
The Villans are reportedly assessing the possibility of signing Omorodion, especially with Jhon Duran's future still in doubt, despite his recent match-winning goal against West Ham United.
The 19-year-old striker has also been linked with other top Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Newcastle United, and was close to a move to Chelsea before negotiations broke down.
These clubs are all said to be conducting due diligence on Omorodion as they explore their options for the final days of the transfer window. However, with Aston Villa already in discussions, they could be in pole position to secure the services of the Super Eagles-eligible forward.
