The Napoli forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in fine form this season, but his future remains uncertain, with multiple European giants monitoring the situation.

Nottingham Forest’s bold ambition for to lure Osimhen

Few would have predicted Nottingham Forest’s rise this season, but Nuno Espírito Santo’s side has been flying high in the Premier League, sitting third in the table with just nine games remaining.

With Champions League qualification now a realistic goal, the club is looking to make a statement signing in the summer transfer window, and Osimhen fits the bill perfectly.

Reports from TEAMtalk indicate that Forest has registered serious interest in Osimhen, with Marinakis “ready to break the bank” to land a marquee signing if the team secures a top-four finish.

Napoli has set a €75 million (£63m) release clause for clubs outside Italy, and Forest is said to have “no issue” meeting the Nigerian striker’s wage demands.

The Tricky Tees have already been linked with Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, former Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham, as well as Premier League stars Matheus Cunha and Jean-Philippe Mateta, but Osimhen is by far the most high-profile target.

Nottingham Forest looking to beat Europe’s heavyweights to Osimhen’s signature

Despite Nottingham Forest’s ambition, they face a fierce battle for Osimhen’s services from a number of top clubs.

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring the striker, and Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear that Osimhen will be sold to the highest bidder this summer.

Osimhen’s 26 goals and five assists in 30 appearances for Galatasaray this season have made him one of Europe’s deadliest strikers, making him a highly sought-after asset.

While Nottingham Forest have the financial backing to pull off a stunning deal, they must also navigate the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) after being docked four points last season for breaching financial regulations.
