The Ken Kenyatta-coached side will be desperate for a win when they play host to Batoto ba Mungu.
FC Talanta will chase all three Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) points when they host Sofapaka at Kasarani Annex Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Talanta played to their seventh draw this season when they were held to a goalless stalemate by AFC Leopards away on Thursday, April 13.
The defeat saw the side remain 13th on the league standings, one point behind 14th-placed Bidco FC, who were in action on Sunday.
The Ken Kenyatta-coached side have claimed just 11 points from 11 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 2-0 win over Wazito FC.
Talanta will again have to do without the services of defender Shela Mandela who suffered a head injury in the match against Wazito.

With 11 games remaining to the end of the campaign, the gaffer says their main objective is to make sure they don’t get relegated.
The team has been on an upward trajectory this month, with reports indicating that their main sponsor cleared their salary arrears.
"I cannot talk about office matters because my job is only on the field. But you can see the players' morale is high, and everything looks okay now," Kenyatta told journalists.
The experienced gaffer will be hoping that lead striker Brian Yakhama regains his scoring form and inspires the team to victory, which will lift them to the 12th spot on the league standings.

“That is not how we trained for the game but it worked for us,” the gaffer reluctantly said.
Meanwhile, Sofapaka continued registering mixed results when they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Ulinzi Stars last Thursday.
The Batoto ba Mungu were in good form in that encounter, only to be denied maximum points by the Soldiers in the match's closing stages.
Sofapaka head coach David Ouma hopes his side will maintain their form this time and display the same aggressive attitude they did against Ulinzi.

In the head-to-head stats, Talanta and Sofapaka have met in three league matches, with Batoto ba Mungu claiming one win compared to two of Talanta.
When the teams met earlier this season at Kasarani Annex, Sofapaka beat Talanta 1-0, with the goal coming from Ambrose Sifuna in the first stanza.
