Former Harambee Stars coach strengthens Simba's technical bench for the 2023/24 Tanzania Premier League season.
In a move aimed at strengthening their technical bench ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 League season, Tanzanian Premier League giants Simba SC have announced the appointment of Michael Igendia as their new manager.
Igendia, a former Strength and Conditioning coach for the Harambee Stars, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the club.
Simba released a statement confirming the appointment, stating that they have decided to hire the Kenyan as the Team Manager and Head of Sports Science on a two-year contract.
The 36-year-old Igendia will be taking over from Patrick Rweyemamu, who has been the Head of Youth Soccer Programs.
"The arrival of Igendia increases efficiency in the technical bench because he is also good in physical fitness as well as team management,” read part of the club statement.

The youngster had been linked with Manchester United before.
Igendia's vast experience working with Gor Mahia, Harambee Stars, and partly with Taifa Stars played a crucial role in his selection for the managerial role.
Having completed both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Finland, with a specialization in Sports Science, Igendia's educational background sets him apart.
