There was a big moment of tension as chaos erupted during Shabana's famous 2-1 win over AFC Leopards on Saturday afternoon.

A moment of tension erupted during Shabana's thrilling 4-3 victory over AFC Leopards on Saturday at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay. As the two teams clashed, a section of fans attempted to disrupt the match, highlighting the high stakes and intense emotions surrounding the game.

Shabana, battling to avoid relegation, boosted their survival hopes with this crucial win. Despite twice losing their lead, the team showed resilience and determination. 

The match was a roller-coaster, with Shabana taking the lead in the 14th minute through Prince Ayieko. However, AFC Leopards quickly responded with two goals from Arthur Gitego in the 20th and 24th minutes, silencing the home crowd.

The match took a chaotic turn midway through the second half. Incensed by the refereeing standards following Shabana's fourth goal by Brian Michira, an AFC Leopards fan stormed onto the pitch. Stewards had to intervene forcefully to remove him, causing a commotion on the sidelines while the game continued.

 Another fan also tried to disrupt the match but was similarly subdued by the stewards. Fortunately, law enforcement managed to restore order before the situation escalated further.

Shabana was undeterred by the disruptions. Alvin Ochieng equalized in the 44th minute, ensuring the teams were tied 2-2 at halftime.

 Samuel Maiko then put Shabana ahead again just ten minutes after the restart. AFC Leopards' Musa Oundo restored parity in the 58th minute, making it 3-3. However, Brian Michira’s 79th-minute goal ultimately secured the victory for Shabana.

This vital win propelled Shabana to 15th place with 32 points, edging out Sofapaka on goal difference. The match was not only significant for the points but also for the morale of the team and its supporters.

There was another instance of tension at the Muhoroni Sports Complex during FC Talanta’s 1-0 victory over Muhoroni Youth. The hosts attempted to prevent the FC Talanta media team from filming the match, adding to the day's controversies in Kenyan football.

Shabana's victory over AFC Leopards was marked by high drama both on and off the pitch. Despite the disruptions, the team managed to secure a crucial win in their fight against relegation.
