Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi took to Instagram after their Emirates FA Cup win against Watford.

Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi celebrated Fulham's impressive 4-1 victory over Watford in the Emirates FA Cup by sharing his joy on Instagram. 

Following the match at Craven Cottage, Iwobi posted a video of himself preparing to enjoy a traditional Nigerian dish of fufu and egusi soup while singing a popular gospel song.

During the game, Iwobi played for 66 minutes, contributing significantly to Fulham's brilliant and one-sided performance. 

The match saw Fulham initially take the lead with Rodrigo Muniz's goal, but Watford managed to equalise through Rocco Vata's stunning long-range effort.

However, the Cottagers regained control with second-half goals from Raul Jimenez, Joachim Andersen, and Timothy Castagne, solidifying their progression to the next round of the tournament.

Iwobi was instrumental in the team's early attacks, often drifting inside to create opportunities.

He nearly scored himself with a curling shot that was tipped past the post by Watford's goalkeeper Jonathan Bond. 

Despite some threats from Watford, including a near miss from Edo Kayembe, Fulham's dominance was clear throughout the match.

Deep inside his celebratory post, Iwobi expressed his gratitude with a heartfelt message: "We are saying thank Jesus, thank you, my Lord," showing not only his joy his but cultural roots through food and music. 

This moment is another good reminder of Iwobi's vibrant personality off the pitch and his connection to his heritage.

With the latest victory, Fulham have extended their unbeaten run to nine and will look to make it ten across competitions when they take on West Ham and their new boss Graham Potter next. 

Nigeria’s Iwobi, who was recently ranked as one of the best attacking players in Europe’s top five leagues, will hope to add to his five goals and three assists this campaign against the Hammers when they clash on Tuesday night.
