Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has promised the Nigerian fans that the team will show their mentality and team spirit against Rwanda.

Chelle prepares to take charge of his first competitive match as Nigeria's head coach with a trip to Rwanda.

The Super Eagles have failed to win their last two outings against the Amavubi, playing a 1-1 draw and losing 2-1 in Uyo.

With the World Cup ticket slipping out of their grasp, they will need a win to revive their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Chelle said during his pre-match press conference, as reported by Allnigeriasoccer, "We need to be together, we have worked during the days. We have had a lot of video sessions, have a lot of meetings.

"We need to show to a lot of people how is your mentality, your spirit, and after that we would see you tomorrow (on Friday)."

Nigeria currently holds the fifth position in Group C with three points. To rekindle their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, a victory in their upcoming match is crucial.

As pressure mounts and expectations soar, Chelle will hope his players can deliver a performance that will keep Nigeria's World Cup hopes alive.
