Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho has informed Augustine Eguavoen that he is being played out of position and has revealed his best position in the team.
Iheanacho has struggled to get enough playing time in the national team following his poor form this season.
The forward made the starting lineup for Nigeria against Benin Republic, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
However, his poor performance in the first half led to Eguavoen substituting him at halftime for Raphael Onyedika.

Iheanacho reveals best position
Iheanacho, who prefers to play at number 10, wrote to Eguavoen before announcing his starting lineup for Monday night's match against the Wasps.
In an interview with Victor Modo, Iheanacho said, "Managers might think different, wherever they put me I play. I'm serving the country, I'm playing. Anywhere I find myself I just go there and do my job.
"For me personally, in the national team I would like to be a number 10, obviously a proper number 10, so it depends on the formation any manager is playing, you have to adapt to it as a football player.
"I'm a proper number 10 in the national team, that's my best position in the national team. In the club, it's different, I'm a number 9 but sometimes I play number 10."
Iheanacho has made 55 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists.
