What happened

Los Blancos slipped up in the LALIGA title race today after Osasuna held them to draw at El Sadar. They failed to pick up maximum points despite scoring first through Kylian Mbappe.

Just before halftime, Real Madrid suffered a numerical deficit when Bellingham received a straight red card for dissent towards the referee.

Osasuna capitalised in the second half, and via the penalty spot, Ante Budimir snatched an equaliser. There was still enough time for Madrid to equalise, but the host defended resolutely.

What Ancelotti said

Following the game, referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero reportedly said he gave the Englishman his marching orders because he told him, “Fuck you.”

However, in his post-match press conference, Ancelotti insisted Bellingham said “fuck off,” and not “fuck you.”

“I think the referee did not understand Jude Bellingham’s English,” Ancelotti said. “He said f*ck off, not f*ck you... that’s way different. I won’t talk more about the referee as I want to be on the bench next week.”
