Super Eagles star Victor Boniface has disclosed where he spent thirty naira as a child to watch the UEFA Champions League.
A few weeks back, Boniface claimed that he was once a fan who went to viewing centres to watch football matches.
The Nigerian international talked about his early years in Akure when he went to the 323 Army Barracks to watch Champions League matches for just 30 naira.
Years later, he fulfilled his dream of playing for the German team in the most renowned tournament in Europe.

In an interview with Pooja, a Nigerian journalist, the Bayer Leverkusen forward seemed unaffected by the responses to his remarks.
Boniface said, as reported on Instagram, “People need to understand that Akure wasn’t as developed as Lagos back then, and I grew up in a military barracks.
“Sometimes, if you were watching a game in the military barracks, you didn’t have to pay. If you go to my barracks, they will confirm this.
“So whatever people want to say, that’s their problem. Like I said, I post my meme and leave it there [on social media]. Whatever anyone wants to say is on them. I don’t really care.”
Boniface will be looking to start for the Super Eagles in Uyo when they face Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match
The Bayer Leverkusen star will likely replace Victor Osimhen, who picked up an injury a few weeks ago against Kasimpasa.
