Mohamed Salah has revealed why he voted Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. over Rodri as the best player in the world.
Vinicius Jr. was named the 2024 FIFA Best Player of the Year in December following an impressive year with Real Madrid.
The recognition came after he lost the Ballon d’Or award to Spanish and Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
The winger had an impressive 2024, having helped Real Madrid win the Laliga title and their 15th UEFA Champions League trophy.

“He’s improving every year and hopefully he can continue... I voted for him because he deserves it," told @fredcaldeira @tntsportsmex.
Salah, who has started the season flying for Liverpool, spoke highly of the Brazilian, revealing how good he is.
Meanwhile, Salah has been instrumental in Liverpool’s title charge this season, with the Reds currently top of the Premier League table, six points above Arsenal in second place.
The Egyptian has stated that he wants to win another Premier League title with Liverpool this season despite is contract issue not being resolved.
