Super Eagles stars will return to the country in September but there is still uncertainty around the coach and Victor Osimhen.

Following the Premier League clash between Fulham and Leicester City, which pitted Nigerian stars Calvin Bassey and Iwobi on the side of the cottagers against their compatriot Ndidi, a Fox, NFF media officer Ayo Olu Ibidapo had a word with the midfielders.
Wilfred Ndidii admitted they were not where they desired in the World Cup qualifier log, but believes they can still make up ground. Speaking about the AFCON qualifier against Benin in Uyo, he said, “We'll see what goes on in that one in Uyo. They had their win in Abidjan, so Uyo, don't worry; we'll see what happens.

Alex Iwobi shared similar sentiments. He took it a step further, explaining what they have to do to win.
“There's still a lot to fight for; we have a lot to prove. I always say we have a lot of quality in the team. Hopefully, we can kick on and get the points that we need to qualify.”

“The same way the fans demand from us, we demand a lot from ourselves because we know the quality we have, we know how well we do for our club sides, we just have to bring that form on a consistent basis for Nigeria.”
Nigeria will be in AFCON qualifier action against Benin Republic and Rwanda in the next international break. They play the Cheetahs on September 7th and the Wasps three days after.
