Former England coach Fabio Capello has voiced his belief that Victor Osimhen is indispensable amidst swirling rumours of his potential departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Chelsea had been widely touted as the frontrunner in the race to secure the signature of the reigning African Footballer of the Year.

However, Financial Fair Play restrictions could pose a significant hurdle in finalizing any deal. Meanwhile, Manchester United has emerged as another contender, with recent reports linking them to the Golden Boot winner of the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.

Capello speaks on Osimhen

Capello, speaking to Il Mattino via Area Napoli, expressed his views on the matter, stating, "How do you replace Osimhen next year? Million dollar question, there are no players around to replace Osimhen. You would have to have a crystal ball to find him."

French Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly identified the Napoli striker as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who appears to be on his way to Real Madrid in the upcoming off-season.

As Napoli prepares for the potential departure of Osimhen, they have already begun scouring the market for suitable replacements.

Two Nigerian strikers, Victor Boniface and Joshua Zirkzee, have been linked with moves to the Diego Maradona Stadium.

Osimhen's prowess on the field has been widely recognized, with his notable fifth-place finish at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023, trailing only Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and Kevin De Bruyne.
