Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has made a bold prediction for the Premier League title race.
Former Germany midfielder Didi Hamann has shared his thoughts on the Premier League title race, believing it's now a two-team contest between Liverpool and Chelsea.
Hamann's comments come as Liverpool sit atop the Premier League table, ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City.
The former combative midfielder expressed his doubts about Manchester City's chances, saying:
"It's clear City are in a lot of trouble and they will not be winning the Premier League, they are going backwards."
He also praised Chelsea's form, stating:
"Chelsea are looking very good, very solid and sometimes without playing well, but they are getting results and winning games quite comfortably."
Hamann also questioned Arsenal's ability to sustain a title challenge:
"Arsenal are dropping points that they shouldn’t do and the last two seasons, they played out their skin but didn’t get the job done so I think it’s a two-horse race between Liverpool and Chelsea."
