AFC Leopards striker Arthur Gitego has identified the toughest team he has faced in his short stint in Kenya so far since signing for Ingwe last month.
AFC Leopards new signing Arthur Gieto has termed Kariobangi Sharks the toughest opponent he has faced so far since arriving in Kenya last month.
Gitego joined Leopards on a two-year contract from Rwandan side Marine FC in February as the club finally found the striker they were looking for.
He has played four games so far, three league ties against Kariobango Sharks, Murang’a Seal, Kakamega Homeboyz and last weekend’s FKF Cup Round of 32 encounter against PAC University, when he scored a hat-trick.

FOOTBALL AFC Leopards coach identifies areas new striker Arthur Gitego must improve after weekend hat-trick
AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has explained why he was still not satisfied with new signing Arthur Gitego despite the Rwandan striker scoring a hat-trick on Sunday.
However, it is his first game against Sharks, when he started from the bench, that gave him a hard time, even though his side collected maximum points following a 2-0 victory.
“Kariobangi Sharks, they are something else,” Gitego told Box to Box. “They are a good team, they kill everyone. We beat them for three points but we ran, we wanted to die, they are dangerous.”
It is high praise for Sharks who are known to employ a possession-based style of football where the opponent is given little or no time on the ball.
