Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has named the one team that will not win the Premier League this season.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has expressed doubts about his former team's ability to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The Reds are entering a new era under Arne Slot, who replaced the iconic Jurgen Klopp this summer, and Murphy's concerns lie in the club's lack of transfer activity.
The Reds are the only Premier League side yet to make any new signings this summer, a situation that is less than ideal.

Danny Murphy says Liverpool can't win Premier League
Speaking on talkSPORT, Murphy acknowledged that the transfer window is still open, but he's hesitant to see Liverpool as title contenders with their current squad.
"Well, the window's not closed," Murphy said. "And the reality is, Liverpool's transfer business over the last five, six years has been excellent."
Despite this optimism, Murphy believes Liverpool's current squad falls short of what's needed to overcome reigning champions Manchester City. When asked about their title chances, Murphy bluntly stated,
"They can't win it with this squad, can they? I don't think so."
Murphy specifically highlighted the need for a center-half and a holding midfielder to strengthen Liverpool's lineup. He expects the team to finish in the top four but doubts they'll be able to overcome City without significant new signings.
"I expect them to be in the top four, but I don't think they'll overcome City," he said. "They'll be better, of course they would [with new signings]."
