Former Super Eagle coach told Nigeria what to expect from Zimbabwe in Uyo.
Former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has warned Nigeria about Zimbabwe’s threat ahead of the clash at Uyo on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles will be riding high of confidence when they host The Warriors at Godswill Akpabio Stadium on March 25th, as they go into the game off the back of a 2-0 victory over Rwanda.

Eric Chelle may field a slightly different side when the Super Eagles take on the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
However, Rohr, now the head coach of Nigeria’s western neighbours, the Benin Republic, cautioned Eric Chelle's side about what to expect from Zimbabwe.

What Rohr has seen
The South African country hosted Rohr’s side on Thursday and were on the back foot for most of the opening exchanges. With goals from Steve Mounie and Dokou Dodo, the West Africans raced into a two-goal lead and looked set to cruise to a comfortable victory.
However, the hosts roared back, scoring on either side of half-time thanks to strikes from Marshall Munetsi and Knowledge Musona.
Despite Benin’s late effort, Zimbabwe held on to the draw. Although they remain rooted to the bottom, they have now held Rwanda, Nigeria and the Benin Republic to draws.

What Rohr said.
Reacting to the game, Rohr, 71, acknowledged Zimbabwe's fighting spirit and said that he expected them to give the Super Eagles a bloody nose in Uyo.
“The 2-2 draw is okay. In the first half, we were the better team, but they dominated in the second half. 2-2 is always one point,” Rohr said.
“We knew that it was the last chance for Zimbabwe to qualify for the World Cup. Now, with three points, it is finished.
“But they are fighting very well and I know with this coach and his staff, they will do the same in Uyo and the same against Rwanda and Lesotho.”
Kickoff for the Super Eagles clash against Zimbabwe will be at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Pulse Sports speculated how Eric Chelle is expected to line up his starting lineup for the clash.
