Turkish football expert tells Barcelona to sign Osimhen
A Turkish football pundit told Barcelona to enter the race for Victor Osimhen.
What Mendes said
Fati was among the sport's top youth prospects, breaking and setting many records at 16 and 17. His ascent was rapid and he was immediately snapped up by Mendes, who helped him negotiate a lucrative contract at Barcelona.
However, his career has since taken a nosedive as he has battled multiple injuries during his relatively short career, all of which have taken a toll on him mentally and physically.
Speaking in an interview with Spanish publication MD, Mendes expressed his confidence that Fati will return to his glory days.
“Two years ago, Ansu Fati was at the top of the world. He’s had bad luck with injuries, but I’m certain he’ll overcome all those adversities,” Mendes said. “He’ll return to his level and continue winning the hearts of Barça fans.’
Asked about a possible loan move in January, he suggested that the player desired a stay, but could leave at the request of the club.
“Ansu Fati to leave on loan? Question for Barça but he has the level to play for them. He needs is confidence and to resolve his physical issues. Once he’s at 100%, Barça will need him. He’s a unique player.”
