It seems you can not please everyone as a 7-0 win for Manchester United did not stop fans from trolling them

Even after their dominant 7-0 hammering of Barnsley in the EFL Cup third round, Manchester United have found that they can not get past the internet trolls.

Manchester United dismantle Barnsley

Manchester United cruised to a commanding 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the EFL Cup, with Erik Ten Hag earning his biggest-ever win as Red Devils manager.

A brace each from Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Christian Eriksen, alongside Antony’s penalty, secured a perfect start to their cup campaign.

Rashford, celebrating his 200th home appearance, opened the scoring before Antony doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Garnacho added a third just before halftime, capping off a comfortable first half for the Red Devils.

United continued their dominance in the second half, with Garnacho sprinting half the pitch to score his second, followed by Rashford’s brace after a Barnsley defensive error. Christian Eriksen then sealed the rout with two goals, both set up by Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United mocked for dominant win

Despite the emphatic win, Manchester United were still the butt of jokes on social media as fans claimed that the Red Devils were finally playing against opponents of their ilk in the EFL Cup.

The 7-0 win over Barnsley, who are currently sixth in League One sparked comic taunts from rival fans, who believed the Red Devils were only able to enjoy such a dominant win over a side that were that low on the English football pecking order.

Manchester United will get the chance to dispel the doubters when they return to action against a team of their calibre in the Premier League when they play against Crystal Palace at the weekend.
