Although the retired footballer has confidence in the club, he has advised them on what to do once they begin their top flight campaign.

Former Harambee Stars forward Boniface Ambani has pointed out what Shabana need to do in order to avoid collapsing in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

After several seasons of trial and error in the lower leagues, Tore Bobe finally managed to get their way back to the top, but Ambani is afraid that if financial issues are not sorted out, the club itself can be in a very bad situation.

"Shabana, Welcome back to the KPL, and let's see what you have in store for the Kenya Premier League. You need to beef up that team too. Coach Sammy Okoth, my roommate at Stars camp in Nakuru, congratulations, brother," Ambani said in a statement.

"Kisii community, it's time to step up. Remember, a lack of finances sent Shabana into the doldrums. Dogo Khan used to be the sole financier. It's your time as a community to make sure Shabana doesn't go back to the colds again."

However, the former AFC Leopards striker is confident that Shabana's promotion will come with flavour and spice in the Premier League, especially because they enjoy a wider fan base.

"The return of Shabana FC with such a fan base is going to be ecstatic. Community-based clubs bring a certain flair and flavour to football," the Yanga SC legend added.

"I remember my first match in the KPL, Shabana vs Eldoret Rivatex in Kisii. It was a fully packed stadium. I loved the atmosphere. I developed some goosebumps in the first five minutes of the match, only to recollect myself.

"We went on, blanking Shabana 4-0 in their own backyard, but the experience and the roar in that stadium still linger in my mind to this day. It's the match that gave me my first-ever national team call-up, courtesy of Shabana official Mr. Matundura.

"The next visit to Matoke Land was a Leopards' fixture. I opened the score sheet before one man, Okoth Njambe, equalized in the dying minutes to share the spoils. 1-1 was the score line.

"The field was full to the rafters. Njambe's equalizer sent the entire stadium into a frenzy. Fans invaded the pitch. It took around five minutes for a restart to take place."

Although they have sealed their place in the Premier League, Shabana's focus is on the title as they remain in a tight contest against Murang'a Seal, who are also promoted.

Tore Bobe will need a win or a draw to lift the NSL title in the final game of the season.
