Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has praised his players' spirit after they defeated Mikel Arteta's Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Alexander Isak's first-half strike sealed the win at St. James' Park, and Howe credited his players' hard work and determination.
"Today's performance was built on hard work, desire, and a lot of really good defending in the second half," Howe told BBC MOTD.
"I thought we looked really good and deserved our win.
"It was 95 minutes of concentration and consistency in our attitude. We managed and controlled some very good players pretty well today."
The win was Newcastle's first in the Premier League in a while, making it extra special.
"It's three points, but it means so much," Howe said.
Newcastle's victory moves them up the table, and Howe's men will look to build on this momentum.
