Supporters of FC Hollywood do not believe the potential replacements are on the same level as the 2021 Champions League-winning manager, leading to an online petition gathering momentum.

A possible twist in Thomas Tuchel’s time at Bayern Munich has seen supporters clamour for the outgoing boss to stay beyond this summer.

February’s announcement that the 2021 Champions League-winning manager with Chelsea would depart the club prematurely was the expected course of action. However, an online petition gathering momentum has come to light.

Bayern fans want Tuchel to stay

Despite being in situ as Bayern lost their Bundesliga stranglehold to Bayer Leverkusen this season, supporters of the deposed German champions are clamouring for the club to make a U-turn on the 50-year-old’s future.

Since its Tuesday launch, a change.org petition headlined "We want Juppel (Tuchel) and not (Ralf) Rangnick!" has amassed over 11,000 signatures.

“Despite the negative media coverage surrounding him and the personnel situation with the injury-plagued Munich team, the Champions League winner led his team to the semi-finals of the Champions League,” the petition reads. “With all due respect to candidates like (Aston Villa coach Unai) Emery or Rangnick, these coaches can’t hold a candle to ‘Juppel’ (Tuchel).

“Considering that the ‘Finale Dahoam’ (Champions League final at the Allianz Arena) will take place next season, Bayern Munich should actually be glad to have such an outstanding Champions League coach like TT (Tuchel).”

What comes next for Bayern Munich?

Ralf Rangnick revealed earlier this week that he was in talks to step in at the Allianz Arena, even if an agreement had not been reached.

Those talks followed links to Julian Nagelsmann’s reported return before the Germany boss signed an extension with the national team. Unai Emery, another manager linked with the role, has extended his deal with Premier League side Aston Villa
