"Deepest condolences to my friend and brother, Tijani Babangida, on his very painful bereavement.
"I send my prayers of comfort and strength at this trying time of mourning. May the souls of the departed find rest in God 🙏🏿🕊️," he said on X
Tijani Babangida is currently in a critical condition after the car accident. Unfortunately, he has lost his son, and brother in the process.
Reports confirm that Babangida sustained significant injuries in the crash and is currently receiving medical attention.

Tijani Babangida is still in the hospital following a ghastly accident which claimed the life of his brother, son and one of his wife's eyes.
According to Emmanuel Babayaro, the former Ajax man survived the crash, his brother Ibrahim, who was also in the car, died on the spot and lost his infant son.
“This is a difficult moment for our friend Tijjani and his entire family. After the death of Ibrahim, his little son, who was battling for life in the hospital with him, also passed away yesterday (Friday), Babayaro told newsmen.

Finidi George resigns as Enyimba coach after bagging Super Eagles job
Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has reportedly bid farewell to Enyimba players and staff.
“Right now, he is traumatised by the death of his younger brother and his son, who was always with him. His wife has lost one of her eyes because a part of her face was damaged.
“The maid also suffered a fracture in her leg, the same as a young man who was hit by the ill-fated car, Babayaro added.
