For a spot in the semi-finals of the ongoing CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria, the Nigerian national U17 team, known as the Golden Eaglets, will their counterparts from Burkina Fason.
Nigeria defeated South Africa in their final group game on Saturday, moving on to the round of eight. They defeated the Amajimbos 3-2 by coming from behind twice.
On the other hand, Burkina Faso overcame defending champions Cameroon 2-1 on Sunday to advance to the last eight of the 2023 Africa U17 Cup of Nations.

At the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers, Burkina Faso and the Golden Eaglets will square off in the quarterfinals in a rematch of the WAFU-U17 Qualifying Round Zone B finals.

The two teams are aware that the winner of this match will be assured a spot in the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup as well as a chance to advance to the ongoing competition's semifinals.
The Nigeria Golden Eaglets will try to win their third AFCON U17 championship and put an end to their 16-year title drought.
Three games are all that separate them from the cup as the Eaglets are getting ready to play after defeating Burkina Faso 2-1 in June.
