British-born player of Nigerian descent Toni Adeyemo is in a celebratory mood following his heroics for Watford.
The 17-year-old striker was the star of the game as Watford recorded a 2-0 victory against Blackpool in a Championship fixture played on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
After a first half without goals, Watford Head Coach Slaven Bilić decided to introduce Adeyemo in place of Ivory Coast's Vakoun Bayo in the 68th minute.
Just four minutes after his introduction, Adeyemo put Watford in front for his first goal of the season on his debut.
Senegalese forward Ismaïla Sarr scored the second from the penalty spot as Watford claimed all three points.

After his heroics against Blackpool, Adeyemo took to social media to celebrate his debut goal for Watford.
Along with pictures from the game was a message that said, "Wow what a moment. Today is a day I will remember for the rest of my life scoring on my Championship Debut. The fans were incredible! The hard work never stops. All praise to God🙏🏾."
Adeyemo was praised by teammate and Super Eagles of Nigeria vice-captain William Troost-Ekong.
Ekong who featured for 45 minutes before being substituted at the halftime break for Brazilian forward Matheus Martins replied, 'Love it, bro, onwards and upwards.'
Adeyemo returns to action for Watford when they take on Rotherham in their next Championship fixture scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2023.
