What Michael Nees said
Speaking after their draw against the Benin Republic, which ensured they remained rooted to the bottom of the qualifying Group C table, Nees looked ahead to their match against Nigeria.
He spoke glowingly of the Super Eagles, especially of their offensive talents, but he insisted that football is not played on paper.
“Nigeria in attack is definitely in the top five in the world,” he said, per The Standard. “Top five in the world when you look at the players that they have at their disposal, it's massive. But sometimes the names don’t automatically make a big performance.”

Zimbabwe had to come from two goals behind to draw against the Cheetahs in their last match. Nees said that his side would work on some of the mistakes they made and start brightly against Eric Chelle's team.
“Of course, Nigeria is, from the players, absolute top level. We cannot allow that (a slow start to the game) to happen again.”
“We must be there from the beginning in our game. Our concentration must be there because the goals (against Benin) when you look at it, were a little bit gifted from us.”
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean winter Tawanda Chirewa was more bullish in his preview of the game. Although, like his coach, he admitted the quality within the Super Eagles, he said that they had no reason to fear.
