Bayern Munich's attempts to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham are set for a major blow as Spurs are reportedly uninterested in their latest bid for the England striker

Premier League side Tottenham are reportedly set to reject Bayern Munich’s latest efforts to sign Harry Kane, with the London side unimpressed by the amount the Bavarians offered for the striker.

Bayern continue search for marquee centre-forward

Bayern Munich are in the hunt for a new top-level centre-forward after suffering the absence of Robert Lewandowski in the last campaign and have looked at a number of candidates for the role, with Kane their most preferred.

The Bundesliga champions also considered moves for Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen and France’s Randal Kolo Muani, but were priced out of deals for both forwards as Napoli attached a price tag of €180 million to the Super Eagles star while Frankfurt will require at least €100 million to part with the World Cup finalist.

Bayern had hoped that a deal for Kane whose contract runs out next summer would be more feasible but are finding out that they will still have to pay on the high end for the England captain.

Tottenham unlikely to lose Kane for cheap

Bayern reportedly made a new bid for Kane worth €80 million Euros to Tottenham, but reports suggest that Spurs will reject the offer, hoping that the Bavarians or another club return with a better deal.

Tottenham are unlikely to allow their captain leave for cheap despite the risk of losing him for nothing next season and reportedly see Bayern’s offer as being below their own valuation of the player.

Kane has been quiet about a possible move away from Tottenham, but is yet to sign a new contract with the club, and could be losing patience with Spurs’ inability to win silverware despite his stellar performances which could lead him to seek greener pastures in trophy-haven Bayern Munich.
