Cameroonian winger Bryan Mbeumo was the best player on the pitch in the four-goal thriller between Tottenham and Brentford in London.
Cameroon International Bryan Mbeumo was the star of the show as Brentford shocked Tottenham in London in the Premier League.
Mbeumo was a thorn in the flesh of Spurs players after he inspired the Bees to an incredible come-from-behind 3-1 win on Saturday.
The 23-year-old was involved in all the goals for Brentford after he scored two and assisted the third goal for the visitors.
Brentford boss praises Mbeumo
In what was his 37th game of the season in the Premier League, Mbeumo helped himself with a memorable display.
Harry Kane netted his 28th goal of the season to put Spurs ahead in the first half but the Bees bounced back inspired by Mbeumo with an excellent display in the second half.
Mbeumo levelled the scores five minutes after the restart before he put his side ahead just after the hour mark with his second of the afternoon.
With two minutes to go, he teed up teammate Yoane Wissa to complete the remarkable turnaround for the Bees.
Following the performance against Spurs, his manager Frank Thomas was a very happy and pleased man.
“I am pleased for him (Mbeumo),” Thomas started after the game per Talk Sport.
“He's such an important player. He probably hasn't been rewarded with enough goals. So, I am pleased two top finishes went into the back of the net,” he added.
Mbeumo, who was named the official man of the match for the game, with his brace and assist, has now scored nine goals and assisted seven more for the Bees in the league this season.
