According to Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya, the collaborative effort provides a platform for young athletes to exhibit their skills and pave the way for their sports growth and development.
"This initiative will not only boost the identification and development of talents but also provide income opportunities for our youth involved in sports. We wholeheartedly welcome this partnership," he said.

Natembeya was speaking after meeting the FKF officials who paid a visit to the county administration.
During the meeting, the governor was accompanied by the County Executive Committee member responsible for sports Chanelle Kittony who echoed the governor's sentiments and underscored the importance of the under-20 tournament in fostering the growth of sports talents.
"Our collaboration will focus on fostering the growth and development of talents, ensuring that we create a conducive environment for youth football," she said.

She has not revealed her next port of call yet but fireworks will definitely be expected when she competes again.
Meanwhile, Truphosa Amere, the County Secretary, has expressed her optimism regarding the positive impact of this partnership on the region.
"This collaboration between Trans Nzoia County and the Kenya Premier League will create valuable opportunities for our talented youth and contribute to the overall growth of sports in our county," she said.
KPL was represented by Managing Director Jack Oguda, who also visited St. Anthony's Boys, where he inspected several sporting development initiatives at the school.
