Orban complete switch to Hoffenheim
Super Eagles star Gift Orban has officially left Lyon and signed for Hoffenheim on a four-year contract deal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, "Official, confirmed. Gift Orban leaves OL and joins Hoffenheim on a €9m fee plus €3m add-ons. Contract valid until June 2029.
The German outfit have been monitoring the striker and sees him as the perfect fit to bolster their attack for the second half of the season.
Hoffenheim are currently in 15th place on the table and at risk of dropping to the relegation zone in the Bundesliga.
They have only managed to score 20 goals in 15 league games, which is largely due to their ineffectiveness in the final third.
Andrej Kramarić, the team's top scorer, has only scored six league goals this season, underscoring the pressing need to bolster their offensive alternatives.
With Orban joining, they will hope to get more goals from the Nigerian striker despite having only made five appearances and scoring two goals.
