According to reports, the Blues fended off competition from Manchester United to secure the talented young Argentine in a deal worth a reported £15.56 million which marks another significant investment for Chelsea's new ownership.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the highly-regarded Anselmino, who is seen as one of South America's brightest prospects, will seal his move to West London imminently. However, the 19-year-old will return to Boca Juniors on loan until the start of 2025, allowing him to continue his development before making the full-time move to Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year-old defender has made 10 senior appearances for Xeneize after breaking into the first team in 2023, featuring three in the top division, making four domestic cup appearances, appearing twice in the Copa Sudamericana and once in the Copa Argentina.
