Pep Guardiola's men could face competition from Arsenal for a Bundesliga target.
Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush, with preliminary talks having taken place between the club and the player's representatives.
The Egyptian international has been in prolific form this season, prompting interest from the Premier League champions, as per Football Insider.
Marmoush attracting Premier League interest
City are looking to bolster their attacking options, with Erling Haaland currently their only recognised centre-forward.
The Frankfurt man’s impressive goal-scoring record – 18 goals and 12 assists in 24 appearances this season – has made him an attractive target for Pep Guardiola's side.

However, a January move for Marmoush could prove difficult, with the Bundesliga outfit reportedly demanding a significant fee for the 25-year-old, who still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
The German club are also reluctant to sell Marmoush without first securing a replacement, which complicates a potential deal.
Furthermore, the report suggests that Man City face competition from Arsenal for his signature.
The Gunners are also said to be interested in the Egyptian forward, who has scored 35 goals in 65 appearances for Frankfurt since joining from Wolfsburg in 2023.
What next for Man City?
Guardiola’s men have won consecutive games against Leicester City and West Ham United.
The defending Premier League champions host Salford City on January 11 in the FA Cup third round.
