Real Madrid will reportedly block the departure of one of their key players despite strong interest from Saudi Arabia.

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has reportedly attracted strong interest from Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad, with the offer of a lucrative salary believed to be the main draw.

Rudiger has established himself as Los Blancos' first-choice defender and will be a huge blow to Carlo Ancelotti's plans, should he depart.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that both Real Madrid and Rudiger himself are not interested in a potential transfer.

Real Madrid to block Rudiger move to Saudi

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger once again led the celebrations.

"Despite reports on huge proposal from Al Ittihad, Toni Rudiger is not even considering to leave Real Madrid this summer," Romano stated.

"Full focus on Real Madrid project, no plans to join Saudi Pro League now despite interest. Feeling mutual as Real consider Rudiger untouchable."

Rudiger joined Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2022 and has since made 101 appearances, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

He has won six trophies, including a La Liga and Champions League double in the 2023-24 season. With his importance to the team amplified by long-term injuries to Eder Militao and David Alaba, the ex-Chelsea man is set to remain a key player for Real Madrid in the upcoming campaign.
