Fiorentina have rejected a massive bid from Aston Villa for highly rated Nigeria-eligible defender Michael Kayode.
Kayode has been on the list of top clubs in Europe following an impressive debut season in the Serie A with Fiorentina.
Aston Villa are currently in the market to improve their squad after qualifying for Champions League football.
They have identified the Nigerian descendant and have placed a bid to Fiorentina who have rejected the offer.

Aston Villa's bid for Kayode rejected
According to La Nazione via ViolaNews, Aston Villa's €20 million ( N33 billion in Nigerian money) offer for Italian-Nigerian fullback Michael Kayode was turned down by Fiorentina.
Premier League teams are keeping an eye on Kayode after his performances for Fiorentina demonstrated his ability to compete in Europe.
Aston Villa have made the first move for the defender which has been rejected by the Italian side as they are not ready to sell their star player.
Aston Villa are considering replacing Matty Cash, who may leave the team this summer after almost four years of service.
The 19-year-old made 26 appearances in the Italian top division and three goal involvements last season.
Tottenham have also expressed interest in him and wants to sign him to replace Emerson Royal who could leave this summer.
