Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies.

The Canada international has a contract that expires at the end of the season, allowing him to sign a pre-contract agreement with European clubs starting in January for a summer transfer.

Despite some fitness issues, Davies remains one of the world's top left-backs, and the prospect of signing him without a transfer fee has piqued the interest of elite teams.

However, United aren't overly optimistic about securing Davies' signature, given the intense competition, including the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

The Red Devils are no strangers to doing business with Bayern after signing Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui in August.

United boss Erik ten Hag will love a new left-back after the struggles faced by Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
